Our base is in Martensville, Saskatchewan. This is our home, and where our story begins…
The Kostyna family has been in business since 1984 but in 2004 our focus shifted, first by developing raw land, and then building new single family homes. Our styles started as conventional, but always had exquisite detail in the design and finish.
Our love for the timeless beauty of timber frame work, inspired by ski chalets in interior British Columbia, Inspired the design and construction of Heron Bay in 2009. This was our first full structural timber home. At the time, the unique to Saskatchewan construction style gathered the attention of new clientele and our focus changed once again. New clients began to come to us looking for rich, rustic mountain-like style.

Creating Award Winning Homes since 2012
Our family works together. From initial design, through construction and onto possession day, every step is a team effort. The hard work and collaboration amongst our family and team demonstrates we are passionate about producing homes amongst the best in the industry.
In 2012 we made our first submission to local and national building associations for the chance of being awarded with a little recognition. We were astonished to learn that our Lakeside Retreat home was a favourite amongst the adjudicators and association winning local, provincial and national recognition as “Best Custom Home”.
Since 2012 Northern Sky has been recognized and awarded at local and national levels on multiple occasions and we continue to strive towards providing the best product and custom experience to every one of our clients.
